Clean as a freshly raked pebble garden, this landscape was just as carefully arranged from start to finish. In a year to five years, this garden will fill in with more of the same, retaining its simplicity and unison. This was a very fun project for me, especially in terms of perceiving our clients' vision and seeing it through to the end.
We really wanted to go with a native grass, and we also know that as children grow and change, so does the call for turf. The client chose the most efficient above-ground irrigation option. Down the road, and if you're wondering, there are wonderful native grass options and above- underground drip watering systems for both turf and native grasses that conserve water like crazy. Give us a call and we'll talk about ways to meet the needs for your changing aesthetic in these increasingly arid times.
Some of the features of this landscape I'd like to point out are the focus on minimal plant species, a fairly reduced color palette and distinct textural changes. The succulents flanking the pathway to the pool bring the eye in on the details and subtle palette contrasts. This is the kind of stuff that helps us slow down and really be where we are. Home.
